Week 21: Shine Bright

Another week - another round of smiles, giggles, and full belly laughs in our house. Mom celebrated her first "human baby" Mother's Day which was awesome. Dad bought her a beautiful Tiffany's bracelet to pass on to Hadley when she's older and we spent the whole weekend snuggling together.

SELFIE time

Yum yum, Mom hair!!

Fell asleep with Mom and just couldn't make herself wake
back up when it was time to go
Hadley's best friend Hartley also came over this week. They had a lot of fun rolling around and talking to one another. Hartley's the only other baby that likes to "talk" as loud as Hadley - so it's always funny when they get together. Hartley tried to teach Hadley how to roll back from her tummy but it didn't stick. Hadley's still stuck on her tummy once she rolls - and trust me. She isn't happy about it.

Week 20: Happy 5 Months Hadley Hoodles!!

Hadley is 5 MONTHS OLD. I can't believe it! A lot has happened in our house lately. She's eating more food - mangoes and pear with quinoa are her favorites this week - and she's ROLLING OVER! Now - let's be honest here. She has NO idea how to get back on her back once she's on her belly. I keep trying to show her through demonstrations, but she's just not getting it yet. That's ok - in due time I guess.
Such a happy baby

And so mobile now! Can't sit still
for very long

Big girl on her belly

Every night she gets in her crib and rolls.... and then she rolls on the floor....and she rolls on her play mat. And sometimes she tries to roll on the changing table, but Mom and Dad are really quick to stop that. Safety first, Hadley Hoodles!

Things she likes: sucking on her thumb, her paci, her blankie, fooooood, smiling, making loud sounds, giggling, snuggling, sitting like a big girl, bath time, long naps, her crib at night time

Things she doesn't like: getting stuck on her belly after rolling over, not having a bottle ready the MINUTE she wakes up from a long nap

We also celebrated the Kentucky Derby this past weekend. It was really fun although Mom and Dad didn't pick the winner. Hadley picked second place - but she didn't win anything for it. Oh well! Here's hoping for another cute picture next year!

Week 19: Adventures for all!

We had a great week. Mom and Hadley went to Selby Gardens, our local botanical gardens, for an afternoon picnic with the SRQ Stroller ladies. It was so much fun, but really hot. Thankfully, Mom remembered to bring Hadley's personal fan which kept her cool and happy (and sleepy).

LOVING the parachute game

All the kids! Clockwise around Hadley is her bestie Hartley,
Wiley, Asher, and Ollie

Mom and Hadley enjoyed the fresh air

Diva baby in training: Have fan - Will travel.
Hadley and Dad also had fun this week going out for dinner with Mom and playing around on the ground. He and Mom are *desperately* trying to get Hadley to roll over. She......is less than into the whole idea. What does she like this week? Her toes.

Why'd you flip me over, Dad?

Dates!

Week 18: So Happy

Such a happy baby. This week we celebrated Dad's 31st birthday with our friend Jeremy. He came to visit us from New Jersey. To celebrate, we packed a cooler and headed to the neighborhood pool. Hadley had a great time, but she fell asleep before the poolside celebration ended.

Sooo sleepy
Hadley is just such a happy baby. It starts to sound like a broken record, but it really is true. We couldn't be any luckier!

Week 17: It's Getting Hot...

Florida is a hot place but this weekend it was particularly brutal. Hadley was a total champ and stuck it out at the last polo match of the year, but she was zonked when we got home!

Attempting to catch some zzzz's at the match

Hadley is such a fun kid. She really tries her best to be happy! Right now, she is really into her fully belly laughs and Mom and Dad do some silly things to make her giggle. I think she secretly thinks they are just weird, but that is to be expected!

Orange and Blue pride

Of course, that doesn't mean she's always smiling. Here she is looking quite uncertain about the carrot/sweet potato combination Mom tried. And - of course - just like her Mom and Dad she isn't always a fan of being woken up before her nap is officially finished.

"I'd rather have the green beans"
"Five more minutes Mom!"

Happy 4 Months!!

Hadley is officially (and belatedly) four months old! We just came back from her doctor's visit where she bravely got another 4 vaccination shots. Poor kid, but she handled it like a trooper! She weighs 13 lbs. 6 oz. and measures 23 inches long. That puts her in the perfect 50th percentile. She's Gettysburg great and doesn't even realize it!
