Week 16: How big? SO big!

Hadley is so silly. She grows like a weed! Wearing 6-9 month clothes isn't even weird for her anymore. This week, we suffered our first baby illness with a bout of pink eye. Poor Hadley was so sad! Thankfully, after 48 hours of eye drops (and lots of disinfecting and laundry) she was feeling much better. So far, no one else in the house has come down with it. Fingers crossed it continues to stay that way!

Thanks for the awesome measuring chart
Marc and Lindsey!
Not feeling awesome, but trying to be cute

LOVES this bear. Seriously.

Mom went to a fancy fundraiser at work and donned a very "Kate Middleton" hat. I thought she looked ridiculous and, judging by this picture, so did Hadley.

Week 15: Super Eater!

Well, super eater may be overstating things. Right now, Hadley thinks playing (re: spitting) with her food is more fun. But eventually she'll get the real hang of it. Hadley is also starting to lose some of her newborn hair. It's bittersweet. And, in the meantime, it looks kind of funny.

Still such a happy girl

Week 14: New Normal

Hadley explored some new territory this week by eating mashed sweet potatoes! She was really impressed with the first spoonful but not so much after that.

Sweet potatoes for the first time -  yum, yum!
She also decided some time in the past few weeks that her Aden & Anais muslin blankets were going to be her favorite blankets. So - our little girl has found her blankie and it is intense. She really loves to nap and sleep and snuggle them.

Snuggling with Dad is also one of her favorite activities, even though she has a tendency to fall asleep in really awkward positions. I give you, Exhibit A:

And finally this week - SHOES!!! Mom is super pumped about this since Hadley already has quite the shoe collection. She liked them well enough, although Dad watched her spend an hour later in the day trying to get them off. I say it's a good time waster/distraction for her.

Shoes!!
Also, just in case you forgot who REALLY matters here..... it's me.

Week 13: Fun new adventures for everyone!

This past week was filled with new things for everyone. Dad went to his friend Kellen's wedding solo since me, Mom and Hadley had to stay home. Mom started back to work on Monday (meaning she'll probably be better at updating the blog again), and I invited my cousin Buddha over for a sleepover while his mom was out of town. Hadley's biggest feat has been drooling nonstop and learning to use her new jumperoo toy. I don't get it, but she seems to really be enjoying herself. I can't believe how big she gets every day! She's still fragile (Mom and Dad are always reminding me to be gentle), but she's getting less and less like a newborn every day. Mom and Dad seem sad and excited by that.

LOVES her activity mat

Planking - she loves stretching out and talking on the changing
table

Hello world!

Other favorite activity: eating her fists.
Whatever floats your boat, kid.

Week 12 Photoshoot with Mom

Hadley was officially 12 weeks (3 months) old on March 5 so we had a little photoshoot in her crib for some fun. She's getting so big, it's hard to believe it!

Week 11 (almost 12): Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Apologies again! I usually do all of my updating while Mom is at work, and since she's been home with Hadley for the last 12 weeks, it's made me updating the blog difficult. In any event, we are having so much fun in our house. Hadley is starting to make so many fun noises, and I'm having a great time trying to figure out what they mean. Mom and Dad are finding new fun things to do with the baby everyday.

Traveling is hard business - I know this from my years of riding in the car with Mom and Dad. Clearly Hadley has learned this as well. This is what she looked like while on vacay in Islamorada.  I spent a long weekend with my grandparents in Sarasota while Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Babiarz, and Hadley went to the Keys for a wedding. We also celebrated Mom's 30th birthday. She's getting old!!

Looks like too much wedding fun for Hadley

Hadley is really great at being cute, cuddly, and generally happy to it's been easy for me to get a lot of pictures of her looking adorable. Tomorrow is her official 3 month birthday - Mom and I are going to work on a cute photoshoot for her. Stay tuned!!
