Week 23: Happy Wedding Uncle Brad and Aunt Chelsea!

BIG week and weekend in the Hughes family. Uncle Brad and Aunt Chelsea got married in Charlotte, NC this past weekend. I stayed at home while our neighbors looked after me. Mom, Dad and Hadley took a plane - Hadley's first! - to spend the holiday weekend with them. Grammy and Pop-Pop Babiarz flew down to watch Hadley during the festivities.

Everyone was very excited and had so much fun! It was a beautiful ceremony and Hadley did a great job making even more new friends. She's pretty cute like that. More photos to come....once they get collected from everyone.

Week 22: What is that sound?!

Hmmm..... let's see. This week Hadley has learned that she can make REALLY LOUD grunting/squawking/screeching sounds which she uses at will.....usually during a really quiet time like a sad part in a movie or the middle of the night. It's making me, Mom and Dad a little cranky. Speaking of cranky - so is she. BUT, she's still super cute. So she's got that going for her.

Yummy Mom hair

A rare, serene, quiet moment

Snuggle-fest 2015!

This past weekend, Hadley met Aunt Kim, Uncle Rick and Cousin Kellie for the first time. Mom had a total fail and forgot to get any pictures. But trust me: Hadley had a great time!!

Week 21: Shine Bright

Another week - another round of smiles, giggles, and full belly laughs in our house. Mom celebrated her first "human baby" Mother's Day which was awesome. Dad bought her a beautiful Tiffany's bracelet to pass on to Hadley when she's older and we spent the whole weekend snuggling together.

SELFIE time

Yum yum, Mom hair!!

Fell asleep with Mom and just couldn't make herself wake
back up when it was time to go
Hadley's best friend Hartley also came over this week. They had a lot of fun rolling around and talking to one another. Hartley's the only other baby that likes to "talk" as loud as Hadley - so it's always funny when they get together. Hartley tried to teach Hadley how to roll back from her tummy but it didn't stick. Hadley's still stuck on her tummy once she rolls - and trust me. She isn't happy about it.

Week 20: Happy 5 Months Hadley Hoodles!!

Hadley is 5 MONTHS OLD. I can't believe it! A lot has happened in our house lately. She's eating more food - mangoes and pear with quinoa are her favorites this week - and she's ROLLING OVER! Now - let's be honest here. She has NO idea how to get back on her back once she's on her belly. I keep trying to show her through demonstrations, but she's just not getting it yet. That's ok - in due time I guess.
Such a happy baby

And so mobile now! Can't sit still
for very long

Big girl on her belly

Every night she gets in her crib and rolls.... and then she rolls on the floor....and she rolls on her play mat. And sometimes she tries to roll on the changing table, but Mom and Dad are really quick to stop that. Safety first, Hadley Hoodles!

Things she likes: sucking on her thumb, her paci, her blankie, fooooood, smiling, making loud sounds, giggling, snuggling, sitting like a big girl, bath time, long naps, her crib at night time

Things she doesn't like: getting stuck on her belly after rolling over, not having a bottle ready the MINUTE she wakes up from a long nap

We also celebrated the Kentucky Derby this past weekend. It was really fun although Mom and Dad didn't pick the winner. Hadley picked second place - but she didn't win anything for it. Oh well! Here's hoping for another cute picture next year!
